Chika Madu M.D.
Radiation Oncologist, Joseph E. Coad Radiation Treatment Center, Southern Maryland Hospital Center
Dr. Madu earned her medical degree at the University of Michigan Medical School in Ann Arbor Michigan. She completed her radiation oncology training at the Hospitals of the University of Pennsylvania. In addition to her clinical responsibilities at Southern Maryland Hospital, she is an Assistant Professor at Georgetown University Hospital, where she is an integral part of the breast cancer program at the Lombardi Cancer Center. She also enjoys playing an active role in resident education.
She has a primary interest in adult cancers and also performs partial breast irradiation. She has a strong research background and has published in peer-reviewed journals. She is a member of several professional societies, including The American Society for Therapeutic Radiology and Oncology, The American Brachytherapy Society, The Radiological Society of North America, and the American College of Radiation Oncology.
